Judge Michael Scott pauses implementation and enforcement of portions of Jim Walsh’s Initiative 2081

The Wash­ing­ton State Repub­li­can Par­ty chair suf­fered anoth­er defeat in court today as one of his six 2024 ini­tia­tives was sub­ject­ed to a par­tial pre­lim­i­nary injunc­tion. Coun­sel for the plain­tiffs say the rul­ing is a relief for LGBTQ+ stu­dents who would oth­er­wise be tar­get­ed by Ini­tia­tive 2081 if it were implemented.
